Step Into Summer: The Sandal Edit

April 30, 2026 / By Amy Nelson

There’s a moment in late spring when getting dressed starts to feel a little easier. The days are longer, calendars are full, and our wardrobes begin to loosen up—lighter layers, softer tailoring, and finally, sandals.

But sandal season doesn’t have to mean dressing down.

This month, I styled four looks around TFR’s warm-weather silhouettes, TERESA and ELISA. Both bring an effortless ease to spring dressing while still feeling polished enough for wherever the day takes you.

ELISA in Tangerine: Warm Things Up

Spring is the perfect time to lean into warm, sun-washed color.

ELISA in Tangerine becomes the starting point for a palette of camel, cream and orange, with a painterly top adding just enough energy. The mix feels optimistic and seasonal without becoming overly summery.

I especially love this kind of look for days that move between meetings, lunch and whatever comes afterward. The pieces are polished, but nothing feels precious.

ELISA in Roccia Serpente: A Modern Neutral

For an easy everyday uniform, it’s hard to beat black, white and camel.

ELISA in Roccia Serpente adds texture to a clean combination of fluid black trousers, a white tank and a lightweight camel jacket. A woven bag and sculptural jewelry bring in a little personality without taking away from the simplicity of the look.

The result is understated, modern and incredibly wearable—the kind of outfit you can return to all season.

TERESA in Platino Metallic: A Little Shine

Metallics are one of my favorite ways to make a neutral wardrobe feel fresh. TERESA in Platino Metallic works almost like jewelry for your feet—a subtle point of interest that doesn’t overwhelm the look.

Paired with a fluid grey jumpsuit, soft blue accessories and mixed-metal jewelry, the effect is sophisticated but relaxed. It’s an easy formula for a busy day when you want to look pulled together without looking overly dressed.

TERESA in Midnight Metallic: The New Navy

Navy and white will always be a spring classic, but interesting proportions and accessories keep the combination from feeling predictable.

TERESA in Midnight Metallic grounds a feminine denim jacket and crisp white skirt, while warm gold jewelry and a cognac bag soften the contrast. The metallic finish gives the sandal just enough dimension to elevate an otherwise simple palette.

It’s proof that a flat sandal can absolutely finish a dressed-up look.

The Spring Takeaway

The best warm-weather wardrobes aren’t necessarily built around more clothes. They’re built around pieces that give you more ways to wear what you already own.

A metallic sandal can become a neutral. A pop of tangerine can bring familiar pieces back to life. A subtle print can add interest to the simplest uniform.

And when the shoes are comfortable enough to carry you through the entire day, getting dressed becomes that much easier.

Because spring has places to take you—and your shoes should be ready to go.
